Tony & Albas Santa Cruz - Summary:
(from tonyandalbaspizza.com) - Tony & Alba’s Pizza opened in June of 1982 in Mountain View. Then the Salciccia family took over an existing pizzeria. With only two picnic tables and a brick oven, they set out to define the art of pizza making. The stores are family operated with 3 generations making the same commitment that Tony & Alba had with their first pizza from the first store over 26 years ago.

Positive Tony & Albas Santa Cruz Review:
I like T&A's lunch specials, it's a pretty good price for a drink, salad (Spinach is my choice) and pizza (I like the pesto or the ham and pineapple). It's definitely changed over the years, I don't go there quite as much, but I still love the location because the few old staff that are there are still super friendly.

Negative Tony & Albas Santa Cruz Review:
Driving with a friend past Tony & Alba's the other day:
ME: "The name Tony & Alba's always makes me think the joint should be owned by Tony Hawk and Steve Alba."
FRIEND: "What? I thought you said you weren't drunk."
ME: "Think about it - Alba rode for Santa Cruz Skateboards for years, maybe he and Tony Hawk started a little somethin' on the side".
FRIEND: "Nah, Alba's not Italian. Plus, if they owned the joint, the pizza wouldn't suck so much. (pause..) Did you see 'Into the Blue'? Dude, Jessica Alba is super hot".
What does that have to do with T & A's? Bumpkis.
The Good: Super delicious sauce and a pretty decent crust.
The Bad: Mediocre pizza overall. Funky sausage. Overpriced. Generally takes over an hour for delivery. The stark, overly-lit dining room is certainly not a place you would ever want to chill... unless you are a 5th grade soccer team - - then you are straight dommoing the joint.
The Ugly: Their pizza is consistently undercooked. Always order your pie "well done" to get it dialed in right.

Good pizza, kind of expensive though.
